Dear Reader,

"Every man a publisher . . ."

I can’t recall where or when I read that phrase, but it was some time ago, when all sorts of futurists (including one who seemed to think publishing was a male preserve) were busily predicting the changes likely to occur once computers were small enough to be personal and everyone had access to something called the World Wide Web. At the time, the notion of "at home" publishing struck me as far-fetched and fanciful, but here we are, a few scant decades later, and it is indeed possible for stories to spring from my computer directly to readers—and all without the assistance of a publisher.

Here, then, via cyberspace, is a selection of my stories written over the past few years. I hope you enjoy them. Feel free to share them with others.
